I remember when I formed this Opal on the wheels and the color started to emerge thinking “oh my Goddess of the Sea”!! I knew right away what I wanted to do, how I would make it and what I wanted to do with it,
This Opal is so bright the photo does not do it justice. It is the color of the Mediterranean in high summer when you look down to the bottom of the sea.I love this piece and it is easily worn every single day. I wore it on a chain for quite awhile actually. It is a delicate pendant but the heather chose gives it that sexy feel. The ocean is my favorite place to go, to walk along the shore and refuel in its beauty. I love the idea of Yemaya, the Sea Goddess, Mermaids and the mysteries of the deep. We all come from the ocean and this is a lovely way to remind ourselves of that power and keep it present in our lives. I know that this piece is going to speak to the person it was meant for.
